Kumanovo Man Detained Following Allegations of Coercion and Assault
Kumanovo – On May 31, 2026, at approximately 9:15 pm, police officers from the Kumanovo Special Rapid Response Unit (SRS) took into custody D.P. (35), a resident of Kumanovo. The detention followed a complaint alleging unlawful restraint and coercion.
According to the report, D.P. stated that from 11:00 pm on May 29, 2026, until 7:00 am on May 31, 2026, he was prevented from leaving his residence without his consent. He further alleged that he was forced to engage in acts against his 36-year-old acquaintance, also a resident of Kumanovo.
Police officials indicated that during the period in question, D.P. was subjected to repeated physical attacks, including assaults to the face, and was compelled to perform oral acts. Furthermore, he was accused of being pressured to consume illicit substances.
Upon arrest, D.P. was found in possession of marijuana, a mobile phone exhibiting traces of a white powdery substance, and other items currently under investigation as potentially linked to the ongoing criminal case. He was subsequently processed at the Kumanovo police station.
Following a comprehensive review of the evidence, D.P. will be presented to the appropriate legal authorities for further action. The investigation is ongoing, focusing on the allegations against him and the circumstances surrounding his detention in Kumanovo.
