More than 2,300 Ukrainian companies have conducted questionable transactions with countries, according to the Kyiv Independent. The Department of State has found that the companies whose owners or directors were involved in this activity have controlled hundreds of other companies. The head of the Ukrainian State Department, Lesia Karnauch, has revealed that 10 individuals who were involved in this activity have been identified as the founders or directors of more than 500 companies, and that a total of more than 7,000 business entities have been under the control of these companies.
The investigation has shown that many questionable companies have used IP addresses from shared computer networks and have been registered under the same addresses. In Kyiv, 20 companies were registered under one address.
