TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS AFTER THE MURDER OF A PLASTICIAN

Members of the criminal group known as “Belanoča” have been sentenced to significant prison terms following charges related to serious criminal activity. The court handed down varying sentences based on allegations of involvement in violent crimes and armed robberies over a recent period. One accused individual received a sentence of 20 years in prison for the crime of murder.

Furthermore, two other defendants were each sentenced to 11 years in custody for their association with the murder of Orhan Bajram, a known leader associated with the “Dukanđi/Grčec” group. The scope of the charges also encompasses the death of Amar Ismaili, a 29-year-old singer and blogger, whose murder occurred on Plastica street in Skopje. A third defendant was separately sentenced to four years in prison for extortion.

The rulings reflect the prosecution’s case detailing the group’s alleged participation in multiple serious crimes. The cumulative sentences span several years, marking a judicial response to organized criminal activity. The court proceedings focused on establishing the level of criminal complicity across various violent offenses, including multiple counts of murder and organized criminal association.
