The third cohort of Macedonian individuals originating from the Bliskot Istok region has landed at the International Airport in Pristina. These people were evacuated following their departure from Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. Previously, arrangements had been made to transport them to Riyadh, with subsequent flights planned for the affected area.
Tihomir Muçunski, Minister of Internal Affairs and Internal Trade, confirmed that 151 passengers were involved, comprising 109 Macedonian citizens alongside individuals from other nations. “The evacuation proceeded according to a pre-existing strategy and with close collaboration between pertinent organizations,” he stated. “The Ministry and the governing bodies remain dedicated to assisting our citizens who require support within the designated region.”
Two days prior, the group departed from Doha.
The overall operation underscores the government’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare of Macedonian people. This coordinated effort ensures the safety and well-being of those affected, particularly those from this vulnerable region.
