Police in Tetovo have conducted an arrest operation that led to the seizure of a significant amount of narcotics. Authorities apprehended a father and son, reportedly linked to a drug dealer associated with the main prosecutor’s office in Skopje. The drugs were discovered inside a residence located on “Macedonsko-Kosovo Brigade” street.
According to information released by the prosecutor’s office, the father, aged 50, and the son, aged 19, were detained at the property. Authorities recovered five kilograms of marijuana, which was packaged in over 100 individual bags, suggesting it was intended for sale. Furthermore, three digital scales were also recovered from the house during the investigation.
In a separate development, police are also investigating a 25-year-old individual from Aračinovo. This individual was found to have unlawfully sold approximately 1.8 kilograms of marijuana. The ongoing investigation continues to build on these findings, addressing the distribution networks uncovered during the raids.
The seizure of the narcotics and equipment highlights a coordinated effort by law enforcement to dismantle local drug operations. The arrests of the father and son represent a key development in the ongoing crackdown on illegal drug trade in the region.
