The Clean Sava and congratulate the animal middle: THE GREATEST ECOLOGICAL PROJECT IN MACEDONIA IS BEING PREPARED IN ADVANCE

The development of the Cleaning Station in Skopje is moving forward, although progress has been hampered by several preceding issues, including incomplete administrative procedures, undeveloped detailed urban planning, and delays related to land expropriation and construction timelines. Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski confirmed that the construction efforts are proceeding in alignment with the established work plan. The timeline for the project is structured around agreements reached between the Water and Sewerage Company of Skopje and the relevant landowners.

According to these agreements, the completion of all primary construction activities is scheduled for the first half of 2028. Following the completion of the physical build, a two-year period is allocated for trial operation. This final phase must be concluded by the first half of 2030.

This facility is presented as a significant ecological initiative for the city. The project is framed as a vital safeguard for future generations, drawing parallels to the Sava River, which is regarded as a symbol of life and safety for the region. The successful execution of this infrastructure represents the largest ecological undertaking planned for Skopje.

The phased approach acknowledges the complexity of large-scale municipal development. By setting clear milestones for construction completion and subsequent operational testing, the city aims to ensure the station meets necessary standards before becoming fully functional. The ongoing commitment to this major construction effort underscores a long-term commitment to improving environmental management within Skopje.
