SEVEN AVIATION ON VISER IN SKOPJE – new destinations and more summer

The airline Viasar has significantly expanded its operational footprint in Skopje, adding a seventh aircraft to its base. This development establishes Skopje as one of the primary operational hubs for the carrier. The integration of this additional aircraft capacity is projected to facilitate access to more destinations and increase the number of French airports served throughout the year.

As a direct result of this expansion, Viasar has launched two new routes connecting to Palermo and Alghero, with services commencing on July 15 and July 18, respectively. Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski commented on the expansion, characterizing it as a notable development within the national aviation sector. He noted that the Skopje location now represents the third-largest base for Viasar.

Furthermore, he expressed optimism that the Skopje airport will soon achieve a ranking of second place concerning both the volume of aircraft and the annual number of serviced airports. This sustained growth underscores Viasar’s commitment to enhancing air connectivity from the region. The addition of these aircraft solidifies the airport’s role in the airline’s expanding network.
