Pumpata in Gostivar the authorities have put a stop to the forbidden crossing of the water

According to Oliver Milanov, the director of the Food and Veterinary Agency, the municipal water supply in Gostivar has been deemed unsuitable for multiple uses. Milanov stated that the current water quality prohibits its use not only for drinking but also for food preparation and general hygiene across the city. This restriction applies broadly to all public institutions, including hospitals and kindergartens, as well as private commercial entities such as restaurants and cafes operating throughout Gostivar.

Milanov confirmed that sampling procedures were initiated the previous day. Samples were collected from various sources, including the water fountains at local hospitals and kindergartens, numerous restaurants, other catering establishments, and public water fountains. These collected samples are currently undergoing inspection at the Institute of Public Health.

In the immediate future, the agency plans to intensify oversight. Milanov indicated that all operators and food service providers within Gostivar will undergo comprehensive controls. The objective of these forthcoming inspections is to verify that all establishments can maintain necessary standards for both safe food handling and hygiene protocols despite the limitations of the municipal water source.

These measures are being implemented to ensure public safety regarding the consumption and preparation of food items in the region.
