THE BATTLE WILL NOT BE WON – Active three dangerous fires

According to the Crisis Management Unit, a total of 31 open-air fires were recorded over the preceding 24-hour period. The unit provided a detailed breakdown of the incident status, noting that 24 of the reported fires were successfully extinguished. Furthermore, four incidents were reported as being under control, while three remain classified as active.

The active fires were situated across several specific locations. Areas reporting ongoing activity include the settlements of Studentičani and Zeleniko. Additional sites of concern were identified in the villages of Morane, Vrteci, and Ramni Gaber, all associated with the Zeleniko area.

Separately, active fires were also reported in the vicinity of Zeleniko, Gostivar, and Makedonski Brod, specifically involving the villages of Trono, Bitovo, and Zagrad. Conversely, the unit confirmed that several other incidents had been brought under control. These areas include Tajmishte in the municipality of Makedonski Brod, and the stretch between the “Jasen” reserve and the village of Brestnica, also within Makedonski Brod.

Additionally, controlled incidents were reported at the “Melci” municipal dump in Kavadarci, and at a dump site located in Delčevo. The data suggests a significant operational effort was undertaken to manage the widespread open-air fires. While the majority of the recorded incidents have been addressed, the continued monitoring of the three active sites remains a primary focus for emergency management teams.
