According to the Central Office for Crisis Management (CUK), a total of 29 open-air fires were recorded across the state’s territory over the preceding 24 hours. Of these incidents, the current status reports that three fires remain active, one is under control, and twenty-five have been successfully extinguished. The most significant incident is currently situated between the settlements of Studenci and Zeleniko.
Reports indicate a large area affected by the spreading flames, originating from Morane, Vrtekić, and Ramni Gaber, and extending toward Paligrad, in addition to impacting the village of Vraja. Smoke from this area has been described as mixed. Additionally, active fires persist in the guesthouse area of Trovno village, where mixed bushes are burning.
While the fire in Negilovo village within the Čaška municipality has been extinguished, the situation in the Darda municipality, Kičevo region, saw the fire in Tajmishte village brought under control by the end of the day. Overall, the operational picture shows significant efforts toward containment. While three incidents remain active, the management teams have successfully extinguished a substantial number of the reported blazes.
The CUK continues to monitor the situation to ensure safety protocols are maintained across all affected areas.
