“The Ohrid Summer” summed up the results: More than 4,000 visitors at the opening

The 66th edition of the Ohrid Summer Festival featured a diverse program encompassing music, theater, and ballet, drawing participation from 24 countries. The festival hosted 40 events, 48 performances, and featured over 700 performances in total. Festival administrators noted that the Ohrid Summer Festival has solidified its status as a prominent Macedonian cultural brand, evidenced by the significant international attendance and participation.

The comprehensive program included various formats, such as concerts, theatrical productions, ballet performances, and chamber and vocal-instrumental concerts, spanning four evenings. A particular highlight of the festival was the opening of the opera gala titled “Love.” This performance featured opera artists Ermonela Jaho and Charles Castro-Novo, accompanied by the orchestra of the National Opera and Ballet. The overall success of the event underscored the cultural appeal of the Ohrid Summer Festival.

Organizers reported substantial ticket sales, reflecting the high level of interest in the diverse artistic offerings presented throughout the festival. The participation from numerous international artists and audiences reinforced the festival’s role as a major cultural event in the region.
