Afrim Gash, the President of the Assembly of the Republic, will not participate in the central Ilinden Day of the Republic celebration on Mount Kozjak in Kruševo. This absence is due to his scheduled attendance at the World Conference of Presidents of Parliaments in Cairo, Egypt. Under the established state protocol, which operates on a six-year rotation cycle, the presidency is due to be elected in Kruševo on August 2, the official Day of the Republic.
However, Antonio Milošoski, who currently serves as the President of the Assembly of the Republic, will attend the festivities instead. The Assembly of mediators has confirmed that the invitation to the international conference was extended to Milošoski several months prior. The gathering is planned as a significant international event, anticipated to draw parliament presidents from numerous nations.
The organization of the conference is being managed by the Interparliamentary Union and the Egyptian Parliament.
