A 35-year-old man from Izoł di Kapo Ritsuto, who was previously known to the police, managed to evade custody following an incident, according to local media reports. The police reconstructed the movements related to the man’s bag during his time at the police station in Botrice. The investigation uncovered details of two separate instances of theft attributed to the individual.
In one incident, the man entered a clothing shop. He reportedly distracted the shopkeeper under the guise of inquiring about a wedding dress before stealing a buyer’s bag. This stolen bag contained approximately 200 euros and various personal belongings.
Separately, the man was also involved in another theft where he reportedly gained entry to a shop by forcing open the entrance door. During this break-in, he stole 30 euros directly from the cash register. During the investigation into these events, the phone and money belonging to a club’s honorary member were recovered from the clothing shop.
Authorities also found a piece of paper at the scene. The police continue to build a comprehensive picture of the suspect’s activities. The focus remains on determining the full extent of the damage caused by the thief and understanding the sequence of events leading to his evasion of the police.
