The Minister stated that while the water is currently suitable for various non-potable household tasks, it is not recommended for consumption or food preparation. Detailed analysis indicates that the water can safely be used for activities such as sprinkling, washing vegetables, and general laundry and domestic cleaning.
However, the findings explicitly advise against its use for drinking purposes or any process involving the preparation of food. Toskovski confirmed that corrective measures are underway to ensure the public receives potable water. He announced that in the coming days, the water system will undergo a thorough flushing process designed to restore the supply to a safe standard for the entire population of Gostivar.
