Doctors who comment on the outbreaks in Gostivar called them free-thinking epidemic promoters

During a recent livestream, Sašo Klevovski, a representative from the RSM Ministry of Health, addressed public commentary regarding the water situation in Gošter, describing the proliferation of information as a “Slobodnaja faction” of the epidemic. Klevovski voiced criticism toward various doctors who comment on the case, noting that many of these individuals are not epidemiologists or certified infectious disease specialists. He urged the public to rely exclusively on official statements issued by established institutions.

Klevovski stated that he observed numerous doctors who comment on the situation, but many lack the necessary specialization. He suggested that such commentary is often motivated by the desire for attention and online engagement rather than public health guidance. Klevovski appealed directly to citizens, advising them to disregard unofficial advice and instead follow official channels.

He emphasized the seriousness of the ongoing health situation, noting that the potential scope of the epidemic remains under control. In his statement, he reiterated the importance of adhering strictly to expert guidance, warning against the spread of misinformation from unqualified sources. The Ministry official stressed that public trust must be maintained by adhering only to vetted, institutional information to manage the current health risks effectively.
