The weather in Skopje destroyed 35 roofs and 189 trees, and 117 vehicles were damaged

Severe weather conditions encountered in Skopje on a spring day resulted in substantial material damage across the capital. According to reports from the city, the fallout was extensive, affecting infrastructure and public property. The reported damages included 117 damaged road vehicles, 35 damaged roofs, 189 fallen trees, 7 traffic signals, 5 reported fires, and 10 individuals who sustained injuries.

Beyond the immediate damages, several vital public objekti were also affected by the adverse weather. These damaged facilities include the offices of the Public Prosecutor, the “Vili Voden” complex, the Petrovec Airport Police Base, the “Nova Makedonija” facility, and buildings belonging to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture. The impact of the severe weather was not limited to Skopje.

Damage reports were also filed from other regions. In Kumanovo, there were reports of nine damaged vehicles and three damaged cars. Furthermore, the city of Tetovo recorded five instances of damaged property.

The accumulation of these reports underscores the widespread and significant material impact caused by the recent weather event across multiple locations.
