Macedonian text: Photo: MED On the occasion of the World Day of Snakes, tomorrow at 8:30 pm in the Cinema of Macedonia there will be a projection of the documentary “Europe: One Continent, Five Worlds”, informed by the Macedonian Ecological Society. It is a meeting for the first of six episodes of the documentary series “Europe”, the first of which is devoted to the beauties of the European continent and one of the most ambitious documentary series about the wild world in all its forms. Produced by “Light and Shadow TV”, the series was filmed more than 1000 days in 30 countries, on 50 different locations.
One of the sites is the Great City, the largest natural island in the territory of Macedonia. “Crystal Lake Prespa, the Great City is one of the most important natural habitats for the study of snakes in Europe, and the people are also known as “Snake Island” in Europe”, the documentary series says.
