The European Union successfully equipped the State Inspectorate for Transport with sixteen specially modified vehicles, resulting in an estimated damage assessment of 700,000 euros. The promotion event featured the vice-premier and Euroambassador, Aleksandar Nikoloski, alongside Euroambassador Mihalis Rokas. According to Nikoloski, the State Inspectorate for Transport has secured a comprehensive new regulation.
Previously, the scope of inspections and the authority of the vehicles were limited to the state’s territory. This new framework, however, extends coverage completely, ensuring the presence of inspection capabilities at virtually every point across the region. Nikoloski emphasized that these specially modified passenger vehicles are designed to enhance safety during inspections and provide improved protection for public infrastructure.
The acquisition of these sixteen specialized units will cover the necessary operational needs for the inspection body. This upgrade represents a significant enhancement to the transport sector’s oversight capabilities. The deployment of these new assets is expected to streamline inspection processes and bolster public safety measures across the jurisdiction.
