REV PES VERSUS EU? – Bugarija will no longer give money and weapons to Ukraine, it is being led by the Coalition

Bulgaria’s Prime Minister, Rumen Radev, stated that the nation is not participating in the coalition of countries that provide financial and military support to Ukraine. According to reports, Radev characterized the decision as part of a pragmatic approach to maintaining relations with the Kremlin. Speaking to reporters, Radev confirmed that Bulgaria would not send a representative to the recent coalition meeting held in Paris.

He explicitly stated, “We do not participate in the coalition that insists on continuing the financial and military assistance to Ukraine.”

This declaration suggests a divergence in policy from the majority of the European Union nations that are actively supporting Ukraine. Furthermore, estimates from Bloomberg suggest that Bulgaria is increasingly distancing itself from the general grouping of countries providing aid to Ukraine. Radev’s comments reiterate Bulgaria’s stance of non-alignment with the collective efforts of Western nations regarding the conflict.

By emphasizing a pragmatic approach to relations with Russia, the statements highlight a notable shift in Bulgaria’s diplomatic posture relative to its immediate European partners. The Prime Minister’s comments underscore the varied geopolitical positions among various countries concerning the ongoing situation in Ukraine.
