The city of Kinna is currently experiencing significant hazards due to heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding, leading to increased activity from wildlife. Reports indicate the presence of numerous species of snakes, with estimates suggesting hundreds of types, among which several are highly venomous. The flooding has prompted these reptiles to move through populated areas of the city, resulting in a concerning toll of 39 reported fatalities.

According to news agency SIE, one of the victims was an unidentified woman, who was allegedly killed by a cobra that escaped from a flooded agricultural area in the region. Furthermore, multiple other residents have reported snake bites in the affected zones. Visual evidence shared by citizens on social media has documented snakes swimming in the inundated streets of the area.

In response to the escalating danger, local authorities have intensified public safety measures. As the immediate risk levels are assessed, officials have begun issuing widespread public warnings to the populace. Mitigation efforts include organizing dedicated snake-fighting activities and deploying anti-venom and anti-snake reserves across vulnerable neighborhoods.

These coordinated actions aim to manage the threat posed by the wildlife navigating the flooded urban environment.
