The KIC in Zagreb opened an exhibition of photographs of Macedonian folklore

The KIC in Zagreb recently opened an exhibition dedicated to Macedonian folklore. The event, titled “Synchronicity,” was inaugurated at the KIC’s additional exhibition space during the International Folklore Festival in Zagreb. The exhibition holds particular significance as it commemorates the 60th anniversary of an untimely passing.

The opening ceremony took place on July 4, 2026, at 1:59 PM. The photography exhibition showcases rich cultural aspects of Macedonia through visual documentation. The artists responsible for the exhibition are Ivon Opeteska Tatarchevska and Bojana Popovici.

Tatarchevska is recognized as an expert for the protection of intangible cultural heritage at UZKN and serves as the national coordinator for intangible cultural heritage at UNEAC. Popovici is a cultural worker affiliated with the Cultural Center Traven in Croatia. The presentation of this collection in Zagreb contributes to the cultural dialogue surrounding Macedonian heritage.
