CUCA pilot project: Cameras for fire detection and firefighting

The Central Coordination Unit (CUC) has initiated a pilot project involving the installation of intelligent cameras designed for advanced fire detection across several critical zones within the state. These newly installed systems will be monitored continuously, operating 24 hours a day through the CUC’s Operative Center. According to the announcement made on July 1, 2026, the primary objective of this project is to enhance emergency response capabilities by ensuring the early detection of potential fires.

The system is designed not only to identify the incident but also to trigger immediate action among relevant emergency services and provide centralized coordination throughout the entire intervention process. Muhamed Ali, the Director of the CUC, emphasized that integrating early fire detection systems was a key operational priority from the outset of his tenure. He stated that the implementation of these advanced monitoring cameras represented a significant focus area for the Center for Management.

The initiative aims to transition emergency management toward a more proactive model. By providing real-time visual data and immediate alerts, the CUC seeks to drastically reduce response times and improve the overall coordination between various state services when responding to fire incidents. This systematic deployment of technology underscores a commitment to enhancing public safety infrastructure across designated high-risk areas.
