The Association of Game Producers (APS) has stated that the new law concerning games is contradictory to the guidelines established by the Association of Game Producers of the Meeting (APIS). APS has indicated that the new legislation regarding games and amusement activities should be developed in consultation with the Association, warning that its current form could lead to significant economic and legal repercussions. This statement was released on July 1, 2026, at 11:55 a.m.
According to APS, the proposed law conflicts with existing provisions and specifically with Article 55 of the Association, which guarantees the freedom of trade and entrepreneurship. Consequently, APS advocates for a legal process where the safety of the games for citizens’ health can be definitively proven before any permanent measures are taken. They suggest that, instead of immediate regulatory action, the matter should first be adjudicated in a court of law, followed by a potential complete ban if deemed unsafe.
Alternatively, APS is considering an interim measure involving the establishment of a 500-meter distance requirement. The association maintains that the development of regulations surrounding games must align with the framework provided by APIS to ensure stability and legality within the meeting sector.
