Three vehicles damaged in the vicinity of the airport in Skopje

An incident involving a vehicle occurred early this morning in the vicinity of the “Friendship” bus station, situated near the international “Skopje” airport. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accident took place around 5:30 a.m. on June 29, 2026.

The details indicate that a vehicle bearing Serbian registration marks crashed into a metal fence before colliding with a bus. Following the crash, three individuals sustained injuries, requiring transport to the Urgent Center at the “Mother Teresa” clinic complex. The injured parties included the bus driver, a 34-year-old male identified as N.D.

from the Republic of Serbia, and two other passengers. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene to treat those affected by the collision. Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred within the immediate vicinity of the major transport hub adjacent to the airport.

The MUP reported that all injured individuals were assessed and transported by medical assistance. The event underscores the operational activity in the critical infrastructure surrounding the Skopje airport area. Authorities continue to manage the scene following the early morning accident.
