Tomorrow in Skopje will be a campaign against mosquitoes

The Municipality of Skopje announced that measures to combat mosquitoes will take place tomorrow. The extermination effort will be carried out at the Avionska disinfection site, targeting aging mosquito populations across the Skopje territory during the early morning hours. This operation is scheduled for the first day that temporary conditions are lifted.

Residents are advised that beekeepers should take necessary precautions to protect their hives in advance of the treatment. In related regional news, Macedonia and Albania formalized an agreement for joint border control measures. Furthermore, local updates noted the commencement of the “European ZNAM, European Inden, European Macedonia” caravan.

Separately, a statement indicated that the conditions set by Bulgaria for the lifting of temporary restrictions have reportedly been met. These announcements provide updates on public health measures in Skopje, alongside developments in regional cooperation between neighboring countries. The municipal notice regarding the mosquitoes is intended to ensure public safety as temporary restrictions conclude.
