Protests in the GTS, barat goredanje na playty

Members of the Union of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) and representatives from GTC AD Skopje organized a planned protest at the administrative building. The demonstration was called to address widespread dissatisfaction concerning the payment structure of wages, specifically citing the failure to meet the established minimum wage standards. The announcement regarding the planned protests was issued on June 26, 2026.

According to union representatives, the core grievance stems from a perceived lack of responsiveness from management to employee concerns. Participants argued that the current stagnant wage levels do not reflect necessary economic adjustments or the collective bargaining power of the workforce. The central issue revolves around the unresolved status of the national minimum wage, which has directly impacted compensation packages.

Organizers emphasized that despite ongoing discussions regarding salary increases, the actual payments received by employees have remained unchanged. This situation has led to significant discontent among union members who feel their economic standing has been disregarded. The organized action serves as a direct appeal for substantive wage adjustments, aiming to bridge the gap between current salaries and the mandated minimum wage floor.

Union spokespersons stated that sustained collective action, including these demonstrations, is necessary to compel employers to acknowledge the economic realities faced by the workforce and to secure meaningful improvements in compensation. The ongoing nature of these labor disputes underscores persistent tensions between labor organizations and corporate management regarding fair remuneration.
