A woman named Djorđ, from Kent, Great Britain, has been accused of killing a British national whom she reportedly met via Facebook. The activist group “Deceived in Dubai” asserts that Djorđ acted in self-defense. However, the group has issued a warning that she could face the death penalty by shooting until the case reaches a guilty verdict, according to reports from The Sun.
During an interview, Radha Stirling, the director of “Deceived in Dubai,” stated that Djorđ attempted to stab the victim immediately after being attacked. Stirling urged authorities to treat her as a victim of sexual violence until the charges are proven in court. She added that the young woman is defending herself against a murder accusation in the UAE following an abduction.
Furthermore, Stirling expressed concern for Djorđ’s family, stating that the situation has caused significant distress. Djorđ was initially apprehended at the international airport in Dubai shortly after her alleged abduction to Great Britain. Following her arrest, she was taken into custody at Bur Dubai.
The case remains under scrutiny, with the defense arguing that her actions were defensive in nature.
