Sait Saitov Extradited from Serbia Following Escape
Skopje, Macedonia – Sait Saitov, the individual previously involved in a traffic incident in Kapistoc, has been extradited from Serbia following an escape attempt. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MV) announced the handover occurred on June 24, 2026, at 20:29. Saitov, 19, originally from Skopje, had been previously arrested in connection with an incident where a woman was injured.
Initial investigations suggested Saitov was involved in offenses related to public safety and the failure to provide assistance to an injured person. Following his initial arrest, Saitov absconded to Serbia. Authorities in Serbia subsequently apprehended Saitov and, upon confirmation of outstanding warrants, initiated extradition proceedings.
He was provided with protective measures before being transferred to the Skopje prison for continued detention and further legal processing. The MV confirmed that this action followed suspicion of crimes against public safety and reputation, alongside the failure to assist a victim. The extradition of Sait Saitov marks the conclusion of the investigation into this incident.
