Macedonia Actively Studies Technological Innovation with New Intellectual Property Factory

Skopje, Macedonia – The Macedonian government is prioritizing the development of technological innovation through a multi-year initiative centered around the “Vizla” national factory for intellectual property. Launched during a promotional event led by Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski and Prime Minister Christian Mitkoski, the project aims to establish Macedonia as a leader in knowledge-based industries. The “Vizla” factory will initiate a comprehensive process expected to have a significant and lasting impact on the nation’s economy, scientific advancements, and broader societal development.

A core objective is to shift Macedonia away from solely relying on the adoption of foreign technology. Prime Minister Mitkoski emphasized that “Vizla” represents a foundational step within a larger strategy. This strategy intends to foster increased scientific research, stimulate economic growth, and create enhanced opportunities for young Macedonians.

The government’s vision is for Macedonia to achieve a position where knowledge and innovation are central to its development, alongside sustained support for these endeavors. The project’s long-term success will be actively monitored and evaluated.
