Mucunski called the Bulgarian ambassador in Mongolia, asking for an explanation from Sofia about the proceedings of the Supreme Council

Macedonian Foreign Minister Expresses Concern Over Bulgarian Ambassador’s Note

Skopje – Macedonian Foreign Minister Tihomir Mutsunski summoned Bulgarian Ambassador to Macedonia, Yelasko Radukov, yesterday to voice serious concerns regarding the publication of a diplomatic note related to Prime Minister Hristo Miskovski’s family visit to Bulgaria. The summons followed an appeal and the inclusion of personal testimonies within the document. Speaking at a press conference outlining his two-year tenure as head of the diplomatic mission, Mutsunski stated, “I would apologize if it happened to me.” He characterized the situation as a standard practice in interstate relations, drawing a parallel to the dynamics observed in countries engaged in conflict versus those at peace.

Mutsunski emphasized that the release of the note serves as a forum for the movement of family members of high-ranking foreign officials. He asserted that such instances have never previously generated disputes within the Macedonian diplomatic service. “Never such a document has caused a quarrel from us,” he stated.

The minister maintained that the situation represents an acceptable method of diplomatic exchange. The call to the Bulgarian ambassador underscores the Macedonian government’s position on the matter.
