Vlado Butkovski Elected President of UCM University Senate
Skopje – Professor Vlado Butkovski, a faculty member at the Faculty of Law “Justinian I” at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius,” has been elected as the new president of the University Senate. The election took place during the university’s constitutional session, which convened with a newly appointed Senate membership.
The University “St. Cyril and Methodius” announced the appointment on June 24, 2026. Professor Butkovski’s term as president will last for one year, aligning with the three-year mandate of the entire University Senate composition.
Prior to his election, Professor Butkovski was a regular professor within the Faculty of Law “Justinian I.” The University Senate plays a key role in overseeing the strategic direction and governance of the university.
