Exhibition Celebrating 40 Years of Macedonian Poetry Opens in Struga
A retrospective exhibition marking forty years of the “Bratstvo Miladinovci” poetry festival will open tomorrow in Struga, North Macedonia. The event, titled “Cvet, poezija, mir” (Flower, Poetry, Peace), will be held at the Drim Hotel and remain accessible until Monday. The exhibition will showcase the work of over 40 outstanding students who have participated in the festival, alongside recipients of the “Bratstvo Miladinovci” award and other prominent Macedonian poets.
It will also feature the work of scholar and humanist Zivko Popovski – Tsvetin, recognizing his significant contributions to the field. The opening ceremony will be presided over by the festival’s director, Nikola Kukunesh, and will include a musical performance by Macedonian singer Serafina Fantuz. Throughout the ten-day exhibition, attendees can expect further cultural events, including a performance titled “Cvet, poezija, mir – the love song of the jugula” planned for the Old Bridge, featuring both poetry and musical elements.
The exhibition aims to celebrate the enduring legacy of poezija and the spirit of mir within the Macedonian cultural landscape.
