SAD and Iran concluded the high-level talks in Švazarica, agreeing to put an end to the fighting in Lebanon and to make a safe transition

Negotiations Between Iran and U.S. Continue in Switzerland

Following a first round of talks in Zug, Switzerland, mediated by Qatar and Pakistan, progress remains ongoing in efforts to de-escalate tensions between Iran and the United States. According to reports, the mediators presented a detailed outline of Iran’s demands, specifically referencing a call for the closure of operations by Tehran-backed forces in the Strait of Hormuz and a reiteration of past attacks against Iran.

The joint consideration with the mediating nations resulted in an agreement to pursue a final resolution within 60 days, as outlined by the SAD and Iran. Technical discussions are scheduled to continue throughout the week at the Burgenstock resort. A key focus of the talks has been addressing the situation in Lebanon, with agreements reached on mechanisms for transferring information regarding ongoing conflict.

Furthermore, a communication channel was established to mitigate potential risks to commercial shipping traffic associated with the disputed Tehran-backed faction. These ongoing talks represent a significant step in diplomatic efforts to stabilize the region and prevent further escalation of tensions between Iran and the United States.
