Reconstruction of Opshta Hospital in Strumica Completed, Boosting Regional Healthcare

Strumica, North Macedonia – Minister for Health Azir Aliu and Prime Minister Hristo Miscolski recently visited the Opshta Hospital in Strumica to mark the completion of a comprehensive reconstruction and adaptation project. The initiative has substantially improved the treatment environment at the key regional health facility. The total investment in the project amounts to 279.3 million dinars.

This funding facilitated volumetric construction, alongside crucial infrastructure and technical works, aimed at modernizing the hospital’s capabilities. The project directly addresses the need for enhanced healthcare services within the region. The Opshta Hospital in Strumica now operates with updated facilities, significantly bolstering its function as a regional health center.

It serves a population of over 200,000 residents across Strumica, Radoviš, Valandovo, Bosilovo, Vasilevo, and Novo Selo. Minister Aliu highlighted the importance of this investment in strengthening healthcare access for the communities it serves. The completed renovations represent a vital step in ensuring the continued delivery of quality medical care at the hospital in Strumica.
