Suspect Arrested in Connection with Embassy Vehicle Fires in Skopje
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has informed that the Special Rapid Response Task Force in Skopje has concluded its investigation into the incident involving the burning of two diplomatic vehicles on June 15th. The incident occurred near the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria. A criminal complaint was filed yesterday against I.D.S.
(44), a resident of Skopje, following an initial assessment by the Criminalistics Department – Center and Bit Pazar. The complaint stems from suspicion of involvement in the crime of “preventing an imminent danger.”
During the investigation, significant material evidence was collected, including surveillance footage from multiple locations and clothing worn by the suspect at the time of the event. I.D.S.
subsequently confessed to carrying out the actions at the police station. Authorities are continuing to pursue leads and explore all aspects of the case. This development comes as part of ongoing efforts to foster reconciliation and security within the region.
