The mission confirmed that at least 274 civilians were killed and 1,763 were injured in Ukraine as a result of violence. In previous years, the number of casualties had been decreasing month by month in the spring and summer. The reason for this was the use of firearms by Russia in urban areas, which was the main cause of the large number of casualties in May.
