The firefighters and volunteers managed to put out the big fire that broke out yesterday over Shtip due to a lightning strike, the Directorate for Fire and Salvation was informed. According to the Territorial Fire Brigade of Shtip, several fire trucks and four special terrain vehicles were involved in the extinguishing of the fire. The fire was extinguished on a treeless terrain with grass and brambles, near the forestry plantations of pine, vines and fruit trees.
The intervention was carried out by 20 firefighters from the TPPE Shtip with four vehicles, 10 members of the Voluntary Fire Brigade of Shtip with four vehicles, as well as teams from Kochani with two vehicles and six firefighters and the team from St. Nicholas. In addition, 12 volunteer firefighters with specialized terrain vehicles also helped in the extinguishing of the fire.
The fire was extinguished in the evening.
