The mayor of Skopje Ivan Jordan gave a speech at the evening press conference on the fire prevention brigade’s actions in the Plužine fire, saying that there is no room for panic and that the fire brigade’s firefighting forces should be used. He also informed that help had been received from St. Nicholas, Kochani and Kavadarci, and that contact had been made with the Crisis Management Center.
According to the plan, a firefighting plan will be made to prevent the fire from spreading. The situation depends on whether it spreads at night, depending on the wind that arrives early in the morning. According to the initial information, the fire was caused by lightning.
