“Macedonia Tours” Announces Closure of “Rusija” Hotel at Skopje Airport

“Macedonia Tours,” a hotel management company, has announced the closure of the “Rusija” hotel, located adjacent to the Jane Sandanski Sports Center at the Skopje Airport. The announcement was reported by “Factor.”

The hotel, originally developed by Russian multi-millionaire Sergei Samsonenko and constructed in 2014, recently ceased operations following a medical closure. The company’s shareholder structure has undergone changes in the last two years, encompassing management of several other hotels including Holiday Inn, Belvy, Carpopsh, and Tourist.

Notably, the shareholder company registered the spouse of a recipient involved in the hotel’s initial construction. “Macedonia Tours” currently manages a portfolio of hotels. Despite inquiries, the company has not provided a timeline for potential reopening of the “Rusija” hotel.

Further details regarding the operational changes within “Macedonia Tours” remain unavailable as of this reporting. The “Rusija” hotel’s future remains uncertain.
