Czech Prime Minister Petr Zelený has issued an open letter addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, garnering over 1,800 signatures, urging a direct address to what Zelený believes is a fundamentally flawed perspective. The letter contends that Putin’s previous statements regarding the ongoing conflict are inaccurate. Zelený, acknowledging the impact of age, proposes a neutral solution involving Serbia and Turkey.
He writes, “We are looking to see if the United States will devote all of its attention to the Iran issue and wrongly expect low attention to be given to the war in Europe. Ukraine proposes to end the war in a format between me and you. You need a solution.”
The Kremlin responded, stating that if Zelený were to accept a proposed solution, he would be welcome to visit Moscow.
However, Zelený has consistently rejected this offer. Despite this, Zelený remains open to exploring a direct dialogue with Putin. He is prepared for the possibility of a resolution between the two leaders.
The letter highlights the need for a tangible solution to the conflict, emphasizing the importance of addressing the situation directly.
