Tetovo, North Macedonia – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz participated in a seminar today focused on the European prospects of the Western Balkans. The event, held in Tetovo, facilitated discussions regarding the challenges facing countries within the region and the continued importance of cooperation and European integration. Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski highlighted the seminar’s significance in his Facebook post, stating that it offered opportunities to forge new partnerships and advance the region’s interests.

The event addressed the ongoing issues impacting the Western Balkans and underscored the need for sustained development. Investment in infrastructure remains a key priority, with over 350 million euros recently allocated to projects in the region’s poorest areas, as reported by Vecer.mk, whose rights were secured through a two-year investment of 350 million euros.
