Assembly Announces List of Candidates for Commission Appointment
The Assembly recently adopted a resolution outlining the submitted candidates for consideration in the appointment of a member to the Commission for the Prevention and Protection Against Discrimination. A public announcement revealed a list of 11 candidates, though only 10 ultimately met the established criteria for inclusion. The initial selection process identified eight candidates: Milev Stojanovski, Jasna Orovčanec-Aranjevici, Ismail Sinani, Usein Elezovski, Kadriye Mustafa, Jacinta Damicska, Kristina Načeska-Arsovska, and Nesime Jašari-Lum.
Following a review, the Commission, led by President Sajkovski, determined that Usein Elezovski and Kadriye Mustafa did not fulfill the necessary conditions for nomination. The announcement was made during a joint session where the candidates were informed of the decision. The Assembly’s action reflects the ongoing process of selecting qualified individuals to serve on the Commission, ensuring adherence to established standards for appointment.
The goal is to populate the Commission with suitable candidates to effectively address discrimination prevention and protection efforts.
