Macedonian Ministry of Health Announces Continued Healthcare Infrastructure Investments

Skopje – The Macedonian Ministry of Health, led by Minister Azir Aliu, announced the ongoing development of several significant capital projects within the healthcare sector. These initiatives are focused on expanding and modernizing facilities across the country. Key projects currently underway include the construction of new clinics in Shtip and Tetovo, alongside the development of the new Kichevo hospital.

Furthermore, the Ministry is preparing for the next phase of investment, which will see the construction of a new Clinical Center. During a presentation to the sectoral working group, Minister Aliu detailed the technical and planned infrastructural investments intended to bolster the health system. Among the projects, the Specialized Hospital for Geriatric and Palliative Medicine “13 November” in Skopje is receiving a Center for Wounds and Gangrene.

Additionally, improvements are being made to accommodate judicial patients at the Psychiatric Hospital – Skopje in Skopje. The Ministry also confirmed plans to reopen the hospital in Koca. These investments represent a continued commitment to improving access to health services throughout North Macedonia.
