Fifteen individuals sustained injuries requiring treatment at two separate medical facilities in Skopje following an accident. The injured were treated across two major locations: the Traumatology, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, Reanimation, Intensive Care and Urgent Care Center (TOARIC), and the St. Naum Ohridski University Hospital.
According to Prof. Dr. Igor Merdzanishki, Director of the TOARIC Hospital, two of the nine patients treated there were reported to be in serious condition.
These serious injuries included a head trauma sustained by one woman and a compound fracture suffered by another. Separately, Dr. Nebojsa Nasto, Director of the St.
Naum Ohridski University Hospital, reported that six patients were treated at his facility. He specified that some of these individuals had scars and received ambulatory care. Dr.
Nasto also noted that three of the patients treated at this location were considered to be in serious condition. The coordination of care involved both institutions, demonstrating the response capacity of the medical infrastructure in Skopje.
