The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of individuals involved in the November 2022 theft of drones from Fort Campbell in Kentucky. The New York Post reported this development.

The incident occurred between November 21st and 24th, though the precise date of discovery was not disclosed by military officials. Sophisticated equipment was stolen, specifically Skydio X10D drones – lightweight quadcopters designed for aerial surveillance and reconnaissance. These drones utilize artificial intelligence to navigate around obstacles and can connect to 5G mobile networks, providing virtually unlimited signal range.

Each Skydio drone is valued at nearly $30,000. Investigators have released photographs of two suspects, both wearing gloves, light-colored jackets, and winter caps; one suspect was also masked. Surveillance footage also captured images of two vehicles believed to have been used in the escape, a dark pickup truck and a light-colored four-door limousine.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying and apprehending those responsible for the theft of these valuable drones.
