The municipality of Struga has been unable to proceed with a planned sale to Merko. The prospective buyer has fulfilled a financial obligation related to a previous, outstanding debt. Consequently, the sale of the Audi A6 service vehicle has been blocked.
The vehicle, scheduled for auction on March 16th at approximately 21,800 euros, was intended to provide crucial funding for the local club and children’s center. The municipality of Struga announced this development on March 12th, 2026, at 3:56 pm. The reason for this intervention lies in a legacy debt originating from 2016, totaling approximately 1.4 million dinars.
Calculations initiated in 2018 have now culminated in the debt’s current resolution. Essentially, the municipality of Struga cannot finalize the transaction due to this historical financial matter. The situation highlights the ongoing efforts to resolve outstanding debts and secure resources for community initiatives.
