The Regulatory Commission for Energy, Water Services and Management Services for Municipal Waste (RCE) has issued an order implementing an increase in the cost of thermal energy for certain households, effective August 1st. This adjustment applies to residences supplied through the EU EMS Supply, EMS Distribution, and EMS Heat Production networks. Under the new regulations, the average monthly utility bill is projected to rise by approximately 140 dinars.
Specifically, the cost structure will change from 2,353 dinars to 2,493 dinars. The increase varies depending on the energy supply source. Consumers utilizing the pre-war Warming system in the North will see an approximate price increase of 3.6 percent.
Meanwhile, users connected to the EMS Energy network will face a price escalation of around 5 percent. According to Aco Ristov, Chairman of the RCE, the decision to raise the tariffs was based on prevailing economic and technical justifications. The commission stated that these adjustments are necessary to cover operational costs associated with providing essential energy services.
