This figure represents a notable difference from the previous generation, which was rated for 2,000 cycles before reaching 80% of its original capacity. Despite the difference in cycle count reporting, Samsung highlights the advancements in the new batteries. Furthermore, the European EPREL submission indicates that the new battery technology could potentially extend the operational lifespan significantly compared to its predecessors.
