Skopje is completing the new Assembly building – the impressive Momin Potok is ready at the end of the year

The construction phase for the Mother’s Stream project is nearing completion, with an opening scheduled for the end of the year. Skopje Mayor, Orce Gjorgjievski, stated that construction activities are approximately 75% complete. He noted that the implementation of a new urban plan is necessary to mitigate traffic congestion and accelerate the overall urban planning process.

Christian Mitzkoski, the mayor’s deputy, confirmed that the Vlada administration intends to maintain its support for the city’s ongoing projects. Gjorgjievski further provided an update on the project’s progress, contrasting it with previous setbacks. He mentioned that seven months prior, the club faced significant stagnation and procedural blockages, with only ten expropriations completed.

He reported that the expropriation process is now 100% finished, and the city has fully compensated for all necessary land acquisitions. This development supports a comprehensive project that includes two kilometers of dedicated paved pathways for pedestrians and cyclists. The focus remains on modernizing Skopje’s infrastructure to improve urban flow and connectivity.

The successful completion of the land acquisition phase marks a significant step toward realizing the new public amenities planned for the area, setting the stage for the end-of-year unveiling in Skopje.
