The Financial Police Office, operating under the Tivat District Prosecutor’s Office, has initiated a criminal complaint against a former employee of the International University in Tivat. The complaint stems from suspicions that the individual engaged in fraudulent activities involving the abuse of his professional position and authority. According to details released by the UFP press service, the complaint concerns an individual identified as A.

Z., who served as an administrative and senior assistant for logistics and terrain work at the university. His tenure at the International University in Tivat spanned from March 2020 to February 2023. The core of the allegations suggests that Mr.

Z. allegedly exploited his authorized position within the university’s administrative office to obtain unlawful personal property gains. Specifically, the complaint alleges violations under Article 353, concerning the abuse of position and authority, and Article 378, pertaining to the falsification of documents, as defined by the Criminal Code of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The filing by the Financial Police Office marks a formal legal action regarding the alleged misuse of institutional resources. The proceedings focus on whether the former staff member systematically abused his access and authority within the Tivat institution to commit financial fraud. The authorities are investigating these claims to determine the extent of the alleged misconduct.
